Can I bring in photos during a consult? I read that Catherine Zeta-Jones is considered to have the nicest nose - and I have always admired it! I have been thinking of rhinoplasty for a while now - would it be wrong for me to use her nose as a reference point? Can I bring in her photos for a consult? c_murthy
Palm Beach Dear c_murthy,
Photos can be useful during a consultation, simply because the photo can more accurately show what the patient desires rather than word descriptions, which may be inaccurate. Photos can also show how realistic or unrealistic the patient is, and may help to predict satisfactory outcome. However the photo can be used, as you say, as a point of reference - an exact copy may not be achievable by surgery.
